I was watching the Chris Harris video on the Bloodhound and one thing led to another which meant I ended up watching a documentary on the Thrust SSC.

One of the main takeaways (apart from how bulky laptops were) is how the vehicle had rear-wheel steer only.

To test the possibility of this design and if it would work they built a demonstration vehicle....a Mini:

Can't watch the video at work right now, but isn't this SSC the one where they used a Cosworth V8 to work solely as a fuel pump?

no, thats the bloodhound. and IIRC, that got swapped out for a Jag unit
